While Google is introducing their personalised ‘Live Cases’ for US Nexus fans, here in Australia we’re at least getting a deal on cases for the Nexus 5X. The Google store has started a promotion offering 50% off both Adopted and Speck branded cases for a limited time.

The deal applies to the ADOPTED Protective Case and Speck CandyShell Grip Case for the Nexus 5X, with the Adopted case reduced from $34 to $17, while the Speck CandyShell case is reduced from $55 to $27.50, with the discount applied once you go to Checkout.

The colour options for the Adopted case include Carbon, Clear Frost and Blue, while the Speck CandyShell is available in Black/Slate or White/Black.

The Speck Candyshell case offers Military-grade drop protection for your Nexus 5X, certified to meet or exceed MIL-STD-810G drop test standards. The Adopted Protective Case offers a nice thin and light case option without any additional bulk or weight but still gives basic damage protection.

The cases ship from the warehouse in 1-2 days, and delivery on the cases is free if you’re Ok with standard shipping (3-5 Business Days). If you want to upgrade to 1-2 Business Days, you can pay an additional $25, effectively negating your discount.

Unfortunately the deal doesn’t extend to the standard or folio Nexus 5X cases, but it’s still a decent deal for anyone wanting to buy a case. If you are in the market, head on over to the Google Store before the deal ends on the 6th of May.

It’s a shame that discount is not on all the cases but just few, looking for discount on normal case ☺
