Google photos gets new Slideshow feature

Google photos slideshow

Google has added a much-requested feature to Google Photos, Slideshows. For those who have ever tried to show off photos from a trip or event to anyone, you would know that it quickly gets tiresome individually clicking through each photo. Now you don’t have to.

Available today on both the web you can start a slide show from any album. The slideshow option shows up on mobile for both albums and the main gallery but didn’t work. Perhaps it works when connected to a Chromecast target?

While the new feature may fit into the why didn’t it already do this category we’re not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. The feature is live for us, at least on the web so jump on in and give it a go.

Must be a serverside switch. I don’t have it in the app nor the web.
