Good deal: Sony SRS-X77 Google Cast enabled speaker now almost half price

srs x77

There’s a lot to be said for having a really nice set of speakers. Unfortunately, paying for those same speakers can be a little less enjoyable. Thanks to Sony’s current promotion you can get some decent speakers without overly taxing the bank.

Sony has several Chromecast compatible wireless speakers, and currently, the SRS-X77 is $200 off, down to $249 from $449, that’s a fairly significant saving. At this price they are the same price as the model below with quite a bit more packed in, the Sony SRS-X77 feature:

  • 40W output over 2 full range 46 mm speakers
  • 1 x 62mm Subwoofer
  • S-Master, DSEE, ClearAudio+
  • Googlecast, Spotify Connect, Airplay, DLNA
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC one touch pairing
  • Line in (3.5 mm jack)
  • Built in lithium-ion battery (10 hour battery life)
  • 300 x 132 x 60 mm @ 1.9 KG

Sony knows how to make a good set of speakers so you can be sure that these speakers, which sit in the middle of their range, will provide some fairly decent audio. With multi-room casting expected to come to 3rd part Googlecast devices soon having a few extra Googlecast compatible speakers in your collection wouldn’t go astray.

The Speakers are available direct from Sony, either in a Sony store or via their website, with free shipping included. So if you’re in the market for a portable Googlecast speaker I would suggest this is the model to beat. The sale ends 23:59 on June 24th.

Are you going to pick a pair of these up? Let us know below.

can these units be placed into groups? More specifically, each being either a left or right channel?

Cool thanks, I’ve been waiting for something like this so I’ve ordered one.
