Asus’s ZenWatch 3 will feature a round display

Asus ZenWatch

Asus has been producing Android Wear devices since the early days of the platform. The ZenWatch, and then ZenWatch 2 were both divisive due to their rectangular displays and bezellisious rectangular design.

If a recent FCC filing by Asus is any indication Asus is back this year with a ZenWatch 3, however, they seem to have adopted a round design this time around!

According to other documentation in the filing, this round label will be placed on the rear housing which his depicted as, you guessed it, round. What else did we glean about Asus’s next Android Wear Device? Not much, this one was very sparse, even for an FCC filing.

The Zen Watch 3 will include:

  • Bluetooth 4.2
  • WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHZ)
  • 5V 2 amp charger
  • Stainless steel back

With IFA just a few short weeks away we may well be seeing the ZenWatch 3 live on stage in the very near future.

Would you be interested in a Round ZenWatch successor? Let us know below.

My moto 360 is now shutting off the moment I touch the button once it hits about 35% battery. I am so not buying a new one that is already a year old and way way over priced.
If this one is 200 to 300 max and has wireless charging like the moto then Yeah I might consider it.

Wireless charging will not be possible since it has a stainless steel back. I suppose Asus will stick with charging pins for this model.
