Make way for the King and Queen in Meet the Androids part 5

My wallet is ready, and the new Android Mini’s being shown off in series 6 of the Artist series keep getting better and better. This time around a couple of minis that will appeal to anyone who loves the aesthetic of the traditional king and queen from a deck of playing cards.

The pair are simply called ‘King’ and ‘Queen’, and are designed by artist Igor Ventura, based on the familiar Rouen playing card design refined by Charles Goodall and Son over the years. The King comes with a sword to hold, while the Queen comes with a dagger. Both designs come with an excellent paint job and individually designed crown.

You’ll get one of each in each box of 16 mini Android collectibles when they go on-sale later this year. The mini’s are apparently close to going on-sale, with Andrew Bell, the man behind Dead Zebra, saying that shipments of the series 6 artist series has arrived and will be sent to retailers around the world, to go on-sale soon.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
