Xperia Projector
Go back a decade or two and Sony was the king of crazy products, but at IFA they’ve shown that they still have some flair for the dramatic, with a concept projector they’re calling the Xperia Projector.

As a concept, it’s basically Sony throwing sh*t at the world to see what sticks. They’re trying out a short throw projector which includes a heap of sensors that can essentially turn any flat surface into a touch screen. Take a look at it in action:

I like the video conferencing, the cooking demo and of course the ability to have your child use it to draw – it’s just cool and when Sony decides to do cool it just works.

Sony is demoing the Xperia Projector at their booth at IFA in Berlin. It’s very likely the Xperia Projector won’t ever make it to market, but we could see some parts of the concept in other products down the track.
