Chrome Web Store
Chrome Extensions aren’t coming to Android anytime soon, nor can you search through the Chrome Web Store yet, but you can now install Chrome Extensions on your desktop browsers from Android.

If you’re reading an article suggesting you try a Chrome Extension – like this one which brings Twitters Night mode to Chrome for desktops – you can click the link and are prompted to install it to your desktop.

Once you load up Chrome on your desktop, laptop or Chrome OS device you’ll then be advised that your Chrome Extension has been installed:
You can then click on that notification and get an option to enable the extension or remove it from Chrome – that is if you didn’t want it, or didn’t request it to be installed.

It’s a nice bit of function for when you’re trying to remember to install an extension and an improvement on the ‘Remind Me’ function that Google used to offer.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
