The Google Play App and Game Deal of the Week has updated for another week this week with Lifeline: Whiteout and Ultimate Guitar Tabs & Chords dropping to an affordable 20c each.

Ultimate Guitar Tabs & Chords

Budding musicians will be pleased with the latest Google Play App of the Week, with the return of Ultimate Guitar Tabs & Chords to the discount spot. The app was last featured in September 2015 so if you missed out before, now is your chance.

The app has grown since it last appeared with up to 1,000,000 tabs and free daily updates now available in the app. You’ll find tabs – the music for guitars – for popular songs all of which you can save for use offline later. There’s instructional videos to help you learn to play each tune, and chord diagrams to really help you get your rockstar career off the ground.

The app does have In-app Purchases worth between $1.05 – $13.80 per item, which pays for interactive tutorials in the app to help you brush up on your guitar skills.

Game Deal of the Week

Lifeline: Whiteout

If you’re a fan of text based adventures like Zork, then the Lifeline series is definitely for you. The Lifeline series are text-based choose your own adventures that play out in real time using notifications on your screen, and Lifeline: Whiteout is the latest in the series.

The story for this episode follows V. Adams on the quest to save his life.

Alone in a frozen wasteland with no memory of how he got there, a lost adventurer’s only hope is his last line of communication – to YOU! Guide him to safety and help him find his identity in this gripping story of survival.

The game has loads of different outcomes based on choices you make throughout the game, and if you get it wrong you can always start over. But, you feel compelled to try your very best to help V. Adams escape. Lifeline: Whiteout has Android Wear support for those who have that notifying you when your expertise is needed, if you don’t have Android Wear you’ll just get notifications in your normal notification shade.

Lifeline: Whiteout is my choice this week as I have all the musical talent of a common housebrick. If you are musically inclined though, Ultimate Guitar Tabs & Chords is probably a good choice for you.
