With Google’s #MadeByGoogle event taking place in under two weeks – 13 days and counting – Google seems to have stepped up the marketing overseas. We’ve seen pop-up installations in major pedestrian areas as well as Google commandeering the side of a Building in New York, you know small things. What we want to know is this: Is Australia getting and promotional love? None of us have spotted anything yet but have you?

We have been advised that Google is running their October 5th video teasers on Foxtel and Channel 7 in some markets, so there’s a definite push here in Australia. What we want to know is have you seen anything else?

We’re putting out the call go forth our beloved readers and scour your cities, parks and shopping centres, and if you find anything email it to us and post it on social media with the hashtag #MadeByGoogle and #FoundForAusdroid. Whoever finds the first and the most unique promotions will receive a signed picture of Dan with his Nexus collection! You can of course choose not to claim your prize!!!! Or maybe we’ll find something a bit better if you choose not to.

With Google really stepping up their marketing we have high hopes that the 2016 Pixel and Pixel XL device will truly live up to all of our Google phone dreams. This is a big risk for Google, any major failure to deliver the “full package” will result in a tech media backlash, how important that is … we’re not sure.

So set forth, explore and see if you can find and Google promotions for the event, and remember tag your posts on Twitter, Google plus or Facebook with #MadeByGoogle and #FoundForAusdroid.
