Telegram launches in-chat gaming platform for bots

Telegram has today announced a new gaming platform tied to their in-chat bots, allowing you to play games in your chats, complete with graphics and sound.

The games don’t take up any space on your device, you simply call the game from the bots in-chat and your game is delivered. The game feature is only available on mobile at the moment, with web-chat showing that the feature is not yet compatible.

But if you’re on mobile – and have updated to the latest version available on Google Play – you can now start playing games by interacting with the game bots. According to Telegram, there are 30 games available from @gamee, and at least three available from @gamebot. Simply type the names in chat and start checking out what’s available.

The games aren’t great, but they’ll amuse you for a small amount of time and Telegram expects developers to add more, announcing detailas on how to go about creating games of their own.

If you want to check it out, head over to Google Play and update your app then try it out.
