Do you have a Sony Xperia X Performance? Android Nougat Beta starting very soon

Xperia X Performance

Sony has been promoting its Android Nougat Beta program for a little while now, with the news breaking in August, and registration starting in September. Today, users that have signed up are receiving emails confirming whether they’ve been enrolled in Sony’s beta test.

For those taking part, the Nougat Beta firmware will arrive as an over-the-air update in the next 48 hours or so, and it shouldn’t be too long after that until we see Nougat officially available for owners of Sony’s current premium device.

As soon as we know more about an official roll-out we’ll let you know, but in the meantime, if you’re one of the chosen few who own this device and have enrolled in the beta, let us know how it looks and feels!

The arrival some years later of the original iPhone, and then the early Androids, awoke a new interest in mobile technology, and Chris has been writing about it since.
