Google’s Daydream VR platform and viewer are now available, and in our review, we found it to be the best mobile VR system to date. But what’s a Google VR platform without some great content? We were extremely excited in the lead up to the Daydream go live to discover that popular VR Game ‘Keep talking and Nobody Explodes’ was a launch title.

For those unfamiliar with the game, it’s a fantastic use of the VR form to create a unique multi-player game, only one of you are actually in VR. The Game sees you trapped in a room with a ticking bomb, your only chance to survive is to defuse it, but how? Easy you’ll need an expert or two. One or more friends will have a physical bomb defusal manual (available on their website to download and print) and will have to talk you through defusing all of the components of the bomb.

Only you can see the bomb, only they can see the defusal manual, you’ll all have to work together against a ticking clock to identify the bomb components, defuse them before you’re blown into tiny virtual chunks. It’s a classic communication game, and after a few plays through I can guarantee it’s fun, for me at least. The game is a great way for multiple people to enjoy playing VR together while only needing one VR setup.

The game sells for $12.99 AUD, which may be a little more than traditional mobile games, but VR is not traditional. If you’ve got a Daydream VR (or any VR platform it’s available on most if not all of them) this is a must have game, as long as you have another player, otherwise enjoy blowing yourself up!

Sounds like a lot of fun! But I’m a solo gamer so I won’t be able to try this unfortunately.
