The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has really stepped up their game with Android apps of late, with several video and kids focused apps hitting the Google Play Store. One such app that slipped our attention is the ABC Me app. ABC Me is an on-demand streaming app centered around ABC’s channel 3 (23 on digital) or the Me channel as it’s known.

ABC Me is focused at slightly older primary school kids once they have “graduated” from preschool aged ABC 4 Kids. It’s also a great source of some nostalgic programming for the 30 – 40 somethings among us with great titles such as Danger Mouse included in the line up. Of course, being a video streaming app you will either want to use it on WiFi or have a good mobile data plan.

The app doesn’t seem to support offline playback or Chromecast at this stage, but without a Chromecast around to test we can’t be sure. The app does have some parental controls if you’re wanting to restrict content based on its classification rating.

If you’ve got kids who watch ABC 3 this app is well worth a look, grab it below.

Price: To be announced

I loved Danger Mouse in the ’80s. Would love to watch some of that again.
