Mobile World Congress (MWC) is coming up fast, with a slew of announcements rumoured for the show it’s going to be big. One of the larger will be Sony who will wait until after the traditional media day to hold their press event on February 27th.

The event is expected to be live-streamed through Sony’s official website with the press conference kicking off at 8:30am CET which means we can all tune in around 6:30pm AEDT here in Australia.

Sony has traditionally had a good showing at Mobile World Congress, last year we were treated to the new Sony Xperia X series of phones and it’s looking like we’ll see two more phones, including a revamped Xperia X and Xperia XZ, announced this year.

We’ll have Ausdroid staff on the ground at Mobile World Congress so expect all the latest hands on and announcement info as it happens.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
