Good news everyone, with the Google I/O lottery closed, the emails notifying lucky winners are heading out now, so if you applied you may want to check your inbox.

The lottery winners will find their credit cards have been charged $1,150($1525AUD) for general admission or $375 ($487AUD) for the price of the ticket, and if you’re in Australia you just have to add on a few grand for flights and accommodation.

This year Google I/O is being held at Shoreline Amphitheatre from May 16th to 19th in Mountain View, just down the road from Google’s sprawling campus.

If you’re a developer or just interested in Google, Android, or any of their numerous products it’s a great few days. Ausdroid will be there to bring you the news from on the ground so sing out if you got your ticket.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
