Monday , December 10 2018 Ausdroid » News » Google’s Wallpapers app has been updated with a bunch of new images & two new categories

If you’re a fan of Google’s wallpaper app, then this week you should have received a brand new update which finally added some new choices.

The update is mostly content based with more images from Google Earth, Google+ and more, with new images showing up across the Earth, Landscapes, Life, Textures, and Cityscapes categories. There’s also two new categories that have shown up in the app called Art and Solid Colors (their spelling not ours).

The Art category has some quite nice looking images, though we’re not sure where these images are being drawn from. The Solid Colors category is handy if you like things a little plainer, including my personal favourite: Classic Black.

It’s only taken 6 months to update the app with more content, frustrating for users expecting Google to update regularly with this ‘Enjoy a collection that keeps on growing’ in the Google Play entry. Still, we can only hope it won’t be another 6 months before the next update.

If you haven’t tried out Wallpapers on your phone yet, head over to Google Play and grab it now.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
