HTC’s U11 will launch at an RRP of $999 in Australia

Following the Taiwan launch of its much-anticipated 2017 flagship U11 phone earlier this week, HTC has today announced the phone’s local RRP of $999.

Considering the features on offer in the shape of HTC’s squeezeable Edge Sense, Snapdragon 835 processor, class-leading camera DxOMark scoree of 90 and HTC’s gorgeous Liquid Surface finish, the sub-$1000 price is welcome news.

We’re expecting to hear more about Australian availability (carriers and retailers) of the phone in the coming weeks.

Ausdroid is lucky enough to have a Taiwanese U11 unit in Jason’s hands, and he’s been eagerly snapping pics of everything he can with it. Here’s a few sample shots to whet your appetite:

Are you considering the HTC U11 as your next phone? Tell us why — or why not — in the comments.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
