Pioneer launches two new network audio players with Chromecast support

Pioneer Home Entertainment Australia has today announced two new network audio players with Chromecast support.

The N-70AE and N-50AE are the latest models to arrive featuring high quality audio thanks to the built-in SABRE32 Ultra32 DAC.

The players support a USB-DAC for playing digital formats including 2.8/5.6/11.2MHz Direct Stream Digital (DSD) formats as well as FLAC/WAV/AIFF and Apple Lossless audio formats through a USB port with the N-70AE offering 384 kHz/24-bit support while the N-50AE will get you 192 kHz/24-bit.

Both the N-70AE and N-50AE include a 3.5-inch LCD screen which can display album cover artwork. as well as album, song, or streaming program information.

Both units will be available in Black or Silver, and we’ll have more info on where to buy these beauties when they go live.

Streaming wise, the network audio players both support Spotify Connect, but for our money the Chromecast support is the winner here.

Pricing hasn’t been announced at this stage, but the UK pricing gives you an indicator of what to expect with the N-50AE priced at £800 while the N-70AE starts at £1100.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
