If you’re in the market for an 8″ tablet the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet has been discounted again on the Sony online store to just $249 this time.

The specs are getting a little old, but still it has a microSD card slot and a FullHD resolution (1920×1200) IPS LCD display, as well as a 4,500mAh battery so it’s great for media consumption.

The tablet launched with Android 4.4.4 (KitKat), but has been updated to Lollipop and apparently Marshmallow, but don’t expect any further platform or security updates beyond that.

Specs include:

  • 8” 1200 x 1920 resolution TRILUMINOUS™ display for mobile, X-Reality for mobile, Opti Contrast IPS LCD
  • 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core Krait 400
  • Adreno 330 GPU
  • 3GB RAM
  • 16GB Storage expandable to 128GB via MicroSD Card
  • 8.1MP rear facing camera, 2.2MP front facing
  • Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, MHL3.0 with microUSB-B OTG
  • Front Facing Speakers with Clear Bass, Clear Phase, Clear Stereo, Clear Audio+, VPT (Sony Surround Sound Technology) for headset
  • 4500 mAh with STAMINA mode
  • 213.3×6.4×123.6 mm @ 270grams

You can find the tablet on-sale now, in white colour only, over on the Sony Online store now.
