Legendary Pokemon Zapdos is now showing up in Pokémon Go


The final legendary mascot of the three teams in Pokémon Go has appeared in the game, with notifications advising trainers to grab their team mates and catch them now.

Zapdos will apparently be around for just 1 week, lasting until the 14th of August (more likely the 15th here in Australia). You’ll find Zapdos atop the numerous gyms dotted around the world, with the chance to catch the Pokémon only given once defeated in a Legendary Raid Battle.

Zapdos is the third of the team mascots to appear, with Team Mystic mascot Articuno first appearing alongside Lugia, while Moltres has been gracing gyms around the world since it went live earlier this month. Zapdos is the Team Instinct (Yellow) mascot and is an Electric and Flying-type Pokémon which is susceptible to attacks from Ice-type and Rock-type Pokémon.

If you’re a keen Pokémon Trainer, then grab your team mates and head out to find the latest Legendary Pokémon to join the game.
