Google Assistant appears in Home app referencing Chromebooks

The latest update to the Google Home app has an interesting little addition when you go poking through the settings that specifically references Chromebooks – Google Assistant for Chromebooks is no longer rumour.

For those of you interested: Head to your Home app, Explore, Games and finally “Chat with your Assistant” and you’ll find the above specific reference to the Assistant associated with Chromebooks. Great news right?

This opens up (given the Google launch event on the horizon) discussion of a Pixelbook as well as other excitement with the Pixel 2 launch. A new “Pixelbook” is expected to be announced alongside several other pieces of Google hardware. So keep an eye on Ausdroid because Jason is currently airborne to the US for the Google Launch event.

What are you hoping for from Google at the launch event?
