Samsung has unveiled a new colour scheme for their POWERbot VR7000 vacuum cleaners, showing off Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper options.

As Vacuum cleaners, the two are essentially the same, with 10 watts, CycloneForce technology, and Edge Clean Master to really get all the dirt. As special edition Star Wars Vacuum Cleaners however they get a bit different – with the Darth Vader sounding like the much better model:

The Darth Vader model comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and its own remote control. Both models also offer fun and unique sound effects appropriate for each character. For example, when powering on the Darth Vader unit, the vacuum will play and mimic the character’s infamous breathing

The POWERbot VR7000 vaccuum cleaners are IoT-enabled, and fully controllable remotely by a Samsung Smart Home app. This means from a smartphone you can start or stop the machine, schedule cleaning times, and check the cleaning history.

Samsung will be doing some The Last Jedi promotion as well for the newly launched cleaners with a ‘Vacuum Your Space’ video created by ‘Star Wars super fans’, as well as other fan-centric plans going forward.

The POWERbot VR7000 is available in Australia, but whether Samsung will bring the Darth Vader or Storm Trooper models here is yet to be announced. The limited edition bots will go up for pre-sale in the US from today.
