Google Wallpapers app updated with different new categories for Pixel and non-Pixel owners

Google’s Wallpaper app launched with the Pixel last year is getting an update. The update is bringing at least one new category for non-Pixel owners, while Pixel owners are seeing three.

The new categories are Geometric Shapes, Underwater, and Keep Looking with Geometric Shapes seemingly the one shared new category being seen by Pixel and non-Pixel owners alike.

There’s a few different wallpapers showing up in each category that are/aren’t present depending on which device you have, but it appears Pixel owners are getting the better end of the deal here – though I can’t see the moving wave wallpaper they showed off in the launch, so perhaps Pixel 2 gets some exclusives too.

The app is available to update in Google Play now for free if you haven’t checked it out.
