If you’re into Sci-Fi then you’ll be very aware that Blade Runner 2049 is now in theatres, if you’re looking to brush up on the original before you head to see it then check out Google Play Movies new deal offering to rent it in HD for just 99c.

The rental costs of these movies is usually $4.99, so you’re saving $4 by using the deal. If you’re the kind of person who dislikes paying for a rental and just want to buy Blade Runner then you’ll be pleased to know you can purchase it in HD for $4.99, a big discount from the normal $17.99 price tag.

Now it’s important to note that the edition being offered on Google Play Movies (and anywhere else) is just the standard theatrical edition, not the phenomenally improved Directors or even the Final Cut released by Ridley Scott in recent years – but even just watching the original is worth geek points.

Blade Runner is a great movie, you really should watch it if you haven’t already. You can check out the trailer here:

Be warned that it is the theatrical release with the noir style voice overs explaining everything.
