If you’re looking for a new high-end tablet it looks like Optus have begun selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 on a 24-month contract or outright if you don’t want to be locked in.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is Samsung’s premium Android tablet this year, it comes in one size only which houses a 9.7” Super AMOLED QXGA (2048×1536) Display. The tablet has a decent amount of power though with a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM powering the unit and with 32GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot, it’s ready to fill with videos for a long trip away.

There is of course a reason Optus is selling it, and of course it supports Cat 6 LTE on all the important bands in Australia letting you access the web wherever you need it.

What else is inside?

So, how can you get one?

The Tablet sells outright for $1095 through Optus which includes 1 month of service on their $15 per month plan that comes with 2GB of data. If you’re more interested in getting the Tab S3 on a 24-month contract then you’ll find the plans starting from $48 per month ($15 Plan + $33 Tablet repayment) and offers you 2GB of data as well.

Optus plans include some attractive entertainment options depending on how much you spend, with a Music Streaming package for zero-rated data streaming from Google Play Music, iHeartRadio and Spotify, TV Streaming which includes zero-rated streaming of video from Yes TV by Fetch, Netflix, Stan, ABC iview, ABC KIDS iview and ABC ME. Higher end plans also include their Sports Package which gives you the English Premier league.

When is Telstra going to sell this Tablet?!

Member

It’s looking like Telstra may not be getting the Tab s3 this year. Apparently Samsung decided to split the market and offer Telstra the GalaxyBook and Optus the Tab S3

I’d be interested in what Telstra offer also. They are still selling the Tab S2 though.
