It’s been more than three years since we were first introduced to Princess Ida and the surreal Escher-esque world of Monument Valley, but fans of the game are getting excited today with developer UsTwoGames announcing the sequel will be available on November 6th.

Announced and released for iOS back in June, Monument Valley 2 has been on Google Play since August where users could pre-register, and on November 6th (likely 7th here in Australia) it will go live.

We say goodbye to princess Ida in Monument Valley 2, with Ro and her daughter the main characters in this story. The game appears to be the same surrealist dreamscape of the original with original and clever puzzles to work out and guide the characters through. The trailer shows a number of the puzzles in action:

The original Monument Valley sells for $5.99, but was launched with a 99c special in 2014. There’s no word on a launch sale, but if you need to it may be time to start stockpiling Google Play Rewards credit in anticipation. Head over to Google Play and pre-register for Monument Valley 2 today.
