After announcing them last week, it looks like the Lifeproof FRĒ cases for the Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL are now available to order.

We’re a bit of a fan of the Lifeproof FRĒ cases, and as the only manufacturer making waterproof cases for Google’s hot new phones you’d be mad to pass them up, especially if you’re as clumsy as I am. The cases, which will be available in two colours: Night Light and Fire Run, will protect your phone from water, drops, dirt and snow.

Water protection is very robust offering water protection in up to 2 metres of water for up to an hour. The cases also protect from drops of up to 2 metres, while the built-in screen protector keeps that display clean and free of scratches. The built-in port covers (when closed) offer protection from both dirt and snow as well.

Chris has already checked out the Lifeproof FRĒ case for the Pixel 2 and is quite liking it.

Currently only the Night Lite colour is available, but the Fire Run is coming soon. The cases are available to order from lifeproof.com or lifeproof.asia where the prices are in USD with the Pixel 2 case priced at $79.99USD which converted is $105.95AUD, while the Pixel 2 XL case $89.99USD ($119.02AUD) – delivery is free.

The cases will be available from retail stores where they will be priced at AU$99.95/NZ$124.95 for the Pixel2 case, while the Pixel 2 XL case is priced at AU$129.95/NZ$139.95.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
