There’s a bunch of Daydream View games on-sale on Google Play – including one for free!

The Daydream View is a pretty decent headset, but to make it work you need content (and a phone that supports it, but I digress). Google has announced a sale on some quality Daydream View titles to get you into VR and hopefully using it more.

There’s six Daydream View compatible titles on-sale in Google Play at up to 50% off, or in the case of one game, reduced to Free! and you can’t beat free right? The sale runs from December 7th until December 14th so get in fast. The games included in the sale are :

  • Beartopia

    – Normally $20.99 – now $10.99

Beartopia is a multiplayer game where you can chat with friends, shear sheep, harvest fruit, and ultimately build a beautiful, bustling community.

  • So Let Us Melt

    – Normally $8.49 – now $4.89

Deep below the ice in Polar City, everyone is asleep. Up on the surface of Kenopsia, the Custodians are busy making a world. For the next four million years they will be creating a paradise for the sleepers; living machines made to sculpt a perfect garden. Custodian 98 wakes and starts its job, working alongside its friend Drone to create clouds, tend the ecosystem, measure the rain. Over the course of hundreds of thousands of years, 98 and the rest of the Custodians gently prepare Kenopsia for the wakening. Until the day a new star is spotted in the sky and everything changes.

  • Hunters Gate

    – Normally $7.99 – now $3.99

The classic shooter has been reinvented for a completely new arcade Daydream View VR experience! Blast your way through the town of Hunters Gate as either Forge (a lucky gunslinger) or Payne (a revenge driven mage) as you defend it from demon invasion – then take the fight to the demons by invading their home world!

  • DRIFT

    – Normally $13.99 – now $8.49

Based on the VRJAM Gold award-winning game, DRIFT is a one-of-a-kind experience played from the perspective of a bullet. DRIFT fully exploits the possibilities of virtual reality to offer a challenging new gameplay paradigm.

  • Spark of Light

    – Normally $6.99 – now $3.29

Help Nerow by manipulating his world with environment-puzzles designed specifically for VR. Search for hidden fireflies to guide Nerow and solve the mysteries of the stolen light to help him on his quest and rescue the Sun-bug.

  • Fishing Star VR

    – Normally $11.99 – now FREE!!

The definitive casual VR fishing game!

Immerse yourself in diverse fishing spots like Key West and the Amazon.

In multiplayer, take the fishing online and compete with people from around the world.

Utilize various unique fishing rods and bait to complete your Fish Guide of over 100 kinds of fish.

That’s a whole heap of discounts. With the Google Daydream View VR headset currently on-sale in the Google Store, there’s a lot more reason to be after content. If you have a compatible phone, then grab some games, grab a headset and get playing.

How often do Google update their list of daydream vr compatible phones? I’m thinking of getting the huawei mate 10 pro which isn’t compatible but equals at least the specs of the pixel 2 which is compatible?
