This year we have seen the leakers been very accurate with predicting device details, especially with the factory-based renders that seem to appear for some devices. Today some of these have appeared showing the S9 from all angles along with a 360 degree video showing these renders.

@91Mobiles have published the leaks from @OnLeaks who has been very accurate as of late, especially with his LG V30 renders — hopefully the Galaxy S9 renders are as accurate considering how impressive this device looks.

The Galaxy S9 obviously takes some design from its predecessor but looks more refined now and less like a toy. The sleek curves on the sides of the device are sure to be comfortable in the hand. The front display is once again an infinity display, apparently approximately 5.65 inches in size with the dimensions of the device being 147.6 x 68.7 x 8.4mm. The bottom bezel is effectively the same as the Galaxy S8 bezel, only 0.1mm smaller (I doubt you’ll notice that) but there is a headphone jack still present on the bottom of the device alongside the USB-C port. Did I mention the Bixby button persists?

The rear of the device shows that Samsung seem to be listening to the critics who have lambasted the position of the fingerprint sensor on this year’s flagship and have placed it below the camera lens this time, not next to it. That camera lens is a single camera lens once again — after Google’s success with a single lens on the Pixel 2 phones we may see more manufacturers get their software right rather than use the dual lens systems.

We expect the Galaxy S9 to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the first phone to do so, or a Samsung Exynos 9810 variant in some markets. 91Mobiles report that Samsung are manufacturing 512GB flash storage for smartphones so they may be putting this into their top of the line Galaxy S9.

With us seeing rumours and leaks this early maybe that earlier rumour suggesting a CES launch of the Galaxy S9 may just be true. What do you think? Do you like the look of the phone? Interested?

Looks like they forced the idiot who placed the fingerprint reader on the S8 and Note 8 to take Ergonomics 101.

Looks ok.

Hardware is less impressive to me. More interested to see what the software looks like/what features it has.
