If you’re looking at the impending holiday break as a boring waste of time, then maybe some TV shows or a Movie rental is what you need to get you through the break. Google is offering users the option to purchase three TV episodes from Google Play Movies & TV for just 99c each, or a movie rental for just 99c each as well.

Three TV Episodes for 99c each

The TV Episode offer is appearing thanks to the banner you can see above in Google Play on the front page, which when clicked gives you the terms and conditions, but they’re pretty simple as you can see:

Get Three Episodes for 99¢ Each

Valid for 3 TV episodes at AUD 0.99 each from eligible titles on Google Play. Offer ends 2 January 2018. Discount applied at checkout. Redeem by 14 January 2018. Limit 3 per user. Valid in Australia only. Google Payments account required. Age restrictions apply. Cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or credits, except Google Play Gift Cards. Once you’ve redeemed the offer you can take advantage purchasing individual episodes for just 99c each. You can get episodes from Band of Brothers, Wallace & Gromit, or more contempary greats like Game of Thrones.

Movie Rental for 99c

This is a pretty common one to see, but I know of few people who rent movies these days. Still, a deal is a deal and if you’re seeing this banner below on Google Play at the moment you can take advantage.

Again, the terms and conditions for this one will pop up when you click the banner, they’re pretty simple so

Rent Any Movie for 99¢
Valid for a movie rental at AUD 0.99 from eligible titles on Google Play. Offer ends 2 January 2018. Discount applied at checkout. Redeem by 14 January 2018. Once you rent your movie, you’ll have 30 days to watch it before it expires and 48 hours to finish watching once you start. Limit 1 per user. Valid in Australia only. Google Payments account required. Age restrictions apply. Cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or credits, except Google Play Gift Cards. See g.co/play/contentpromotos and g.co/play/tos for more information. Promoter: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Promotional Code Terms and Conditions

Once you’ve redeemed you’ll see the option to rent any movie on Google Play. It works on movies in both HD or SD (if you’re a monster) formats, so you can view the one you want.

There’s some good movies to watch out now as well including Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Dunkirk, IT, or something more family friendly like Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie or The Emoji Movie (just kidding, do NOT rent or buy this movie). You could of course use it to rent a Christmas movie like Die Hard which is always a family favourite.

Head over to Google Play now and see what you can get.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
