Kogan also has a great deal at the moment, $315 for 12 months of mobile access, 23GB each month and unlimited calls/SMS

Just in case you’re not fond of Telstra special offers, there’s one from Kogan as well which offers pretty fantastic value. This deal, which requires you to pay for your mobile plan up front for 12 months, gives you incredible value – including 23GB data to use each month, a well as unlimited calls and texts.

For those adept with numbers, you’ll know that this equates to $25.90 a month (or every 30 days to be precise). This is some of the cheapest data you can find on Vodafone’s 4G network (which Kogan uses), and gives you all the usual mobile account benefits, including porting your number across, fast 4G speeds and no hidden fees (because it’s a prepaid service).

If you’re minded to take up this deal, you can find it on the Kogan Mobile website. There’s no end-date specified for this promotion, but if you’re wanting to take advantage, don’t waste time because it could end at any time.

As it’s an online-only deal, some people may be worried, but don’t be — the setup process is as easy as this:

After purchasing this product, you will be sent a unique Kogan Mobile voucher by email within 24 hours and a Kogan Mobile SIMStarter Pack by post. Once you have a Kogan Mobile SIM Card, simply visit the Kogan Mobile activation centre to redeem your unique voucher. You will be able to activate and start using your EXTRA LARGE 365 Day plan without any additional charge.

  1. Voda has been ok for me but I am finding data congestion is growing in busy areas so much so that I get no data in Central and Wynyard and reception indoors can be patchy.

sometimes I get amazing speed and coverage but other times it is poor at best so I am moving to Aldi 12 months deal, less data but enough for me and good reception always.
