The Australia Day public holiday (and the long weekend) lays ahead of us, and if you’re just wanting to relax on the couch then what better way to do so than with a good movie. Google Play Movie has a sale running with a bunch of HD movies on-sale for under $10.

There’s actually some good bargains to be had on some top notch movies in the sale with films ranging in price from $6.99 including Sicario, Mad Max Fury Road and an Aussie film Last Cab to Darwin. If you pay a little more you can also snag top notch movies like Super Troopers (there’s a sequel coming on April 20th), 500 Days of Summer or even the original Mad Max.

All in all, there’s 100 titles to choose from, so head over to Google Play Movies and see what you can get.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.

Not sure if everyone’s seeing it, but my housemates all got a 99c movie rental on Google Play today. (I got a $1.99 rental for some reason.) It showed up as a banner in Google play app> Movies & tv.
