Perth based sports fans looking to check out the Cricket, AFL or some of the other sports being played at the newly opened – and newly named – Optus Stadium will want to check out the new app from Optus which adds some additional functionality.

The app – called Optus Stadium – is available on both Android and iOS from their respective app stores, and offers a range of handy features once you’re on the ground. The app is in its first release and Optus has plans to add more features down the track. Included features in this initial release are:

• Check out What’s On to plan your calendar and buy tickets to events
• Explore the amazing food and beverage options on offer
• View stadium maps to help you find your way around
• Plan your journey to find the best way to get to and from Optus Stadium
• Access unique offers and promotions to enhance your game-day experience

Now, it will get a lot more interesting with the options to purchase all your tickets for events at the stadium from within the app. Optus is also going to be adding the option to preorder your food and beverage from outlets in the stadium and offer handy maps to help you find your seats and integrate with public transport tools to ensure you can get to and from the game without any hassles.

Optus is also running a competition giving you the chance to win a Golden Ticket. Just download the app to enter:

To celebrate the official opening of the Optus Stadium last week, we’re giving away a ‘Golden Ticket’ double pass for one winner and a friend. What does this Golden Ticket get you? The chance to attend five events of your choice from the world-class line-up of sports, music and entertainment events being held at the stadium in 2018.

It’s a pretty decent effort from Optus. If you’re in Perth and headed out to the Optus Stadium precinct, or even visiting Perth just for the event it may be worth checking the app out to see if there’s any bonuses to make your event a bit nicer.
