Inline notification replies for Android apps on Chrome OS now live in Beta channel

After being rumoured late last year, inline replies for Android notifications in Chrome OS is now live in the Beta Channel.

The announcement comes via Chromium Evangelist at Google, François Beaufort who announced it on Google+ showing this screenshot of the feature in action.

As Mr Beaufort says ‘This makes it so much easier to reply to messages from the message center: Type your answer, press and voila!’

As for when the feature will hit the stable channel, it generally takes 6 weeks for features to move down through each channel, so we may see this one hitting the stable channel around the time of Google I/O.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
