OnePlus makes the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 official — looks to be exclusive to India

The upcoming OnePlus 6 could be their best device ever and considering how good the OnePlus 5T was it would be an impressive feat. With specs to match any of the high end flagships and a design that looks stunning it should be a success for the fledgling company.

Just a few weeks ago OnePlus India teased us with the existence of an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6. We saw them release a Star Wars themed OnePlus 5T last year and it was a stunning phone (I bought one). Now they have confirmed that they are expanding their Disney tie-ins with an Avengers-themed device.

In a statement to Android Central today OnePlus confirmed not just the existence of the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 but also that it will be coming to India — just as the Star Wars themed device did. India is a large market for OnePlus with them capturing 48 percent of the premium smartphone market share in that country. We have also seen rumours that the phone would also arrive in the UK but there is no word on that at this stage.

The entire statement provided to Android Central by OnePlus leaves no doubt OnePlus are excited with this partnership:

Marvel is one of the most recognized and respected international entertainment brands in the world. The brand’s enduring success and unmatched popularity lies in its epic storytelling with human spirit. With its gigantic library of more than 8,000 characters including some of the most iconic Super Heroes in the world such as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk and more, Marvel has amassed fans across boundaries and age-groups.

Similarly, OnePlus has amassed an overwhelming and loyal fan following owing to its unwavering focus on bringing the best technology to its users. The rapidly growing brand is constantly incorporating feedback from the community to bring nothing but the best technology to its products.

OnePlus’ association with Marvel Studios is a manifestation of the enduring love and support they have garnered from its respective community over the years with a purpose to go beyond the ordinary and achieve groundbreaking innovations in mobile technology only to create the best user experiences.

Avengers: Infinity War is releasing next week and we expect OnePlus to announce the phone at the same time. With under a week to go it is highly likely we will see a few more teasers by OnePlus in the coming days. Stay tuned and we will bring them all to you, including the announcement as it happens.
