It’s May the 4th…so, yes it’s Star Wars Day!! If you’re a keen student of the Force, then you’ll be getting ready to celebrate some way and Amazon’s Alexa is primed to help you join in.

The Amazon team has been busy preparing for Star Wars Day, pre-loading in a bunch of new questions or statements for you to throw her way, including finding out why she loves BB 8, Jar-Jar Binks and R2-D2. You can try your own questions, but you may get better results starting with these:

  • Alexa, tell me a Star Wars joke
  • Alexa, tell me a Star Wars limerick
  • Alexa, aren’t you a little short for a storm trooper?
  • Alexa, come to the dark side
  • Alexa, I am your father
  • Alexa, I have a bad feeling about this
  • Alexa, who is your favourite Star Wars character?
  • Alexa, can you talk like Yoda?

Amazon Music has also been busy, creating their “Best of the Dark Side” playlist for the Sith out there, and a “Best of the Jedi” playlist for the Jedi. Both playlists feature music from all the Star Wars movies, and you can get them playing by simply asking Alexa to play them.

If you’re wanting to shop Amazon for something a little Star Wars themed, then you can head to Amazon Australia here to check out what’s on offer.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
