WhatsApp is updating its iOS App to allow users the ability to watch Facebook and Instagram videos directly within WhatsApp. Additionally, with picture-in-picture, users can keep watching the video even as they move between other chats.

Recently, Facebook has been wanting to integrate its services and various apps together which would enable and give its users more seamless control over their content across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. This started last year when the social media giant began allowing users to post their Instagram Stories to Facebook and just earlier this year, reports began to surface of a feature allowing users post their Instagram Stories to WhatsApp as well.

Given this is a feature that users have been calling for, it will be quite useful. However there is no news or timeline given for the feature to be added to WhatsApp’s Android app.
