If you’ve been waiting for the Google Home Mini to come on sale, or you happen to be in the market for a great gift then Google’s got you covered with the Mini currently on sale for $59 down from $79, with free shipping within Australia. From our experience the Home Mini is a great entry device into the Assistant ecosystem, and with all of the Assistant announces at yesterdays I/O keynote I’d say Assistant is here for the long haul.

If you’re looking for a great audio experience on it’s own, the Home Mini may not be the device you’re looking for, however, with the ability to pair with a Bluetooth speaker or a Chromecast Audio device, you can use a Home Mini to voice control other speakers, which give you the best of both worlds. If on the other hand you’re looking for more of an Assistant/ Smart home gateway that can play music and podcasts the Home Mini can be a great device, and they make excellent gifts!
