Google Play Award Winners announced

Google I/O is all about helping developers create great products for and using Google services and apps. The now yearly Google Play Awards is an event that is used to show off the very creme de la creme of the best apps created. Ahead of Google I/O, the Awards were held and winners announced across a range of categories.

There were nine awards handed out this year across a number of categories, with one winner an Australian developer, but we’ll get to that – so, without further ado, the winners are…:

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
