Samsung has sent out an email to customers advising that it will be ending support for their Call sticker feature by December 17, 2018.
If you’re not aware of Call Stickers – don’t worry we hadn’t heard of them either – they’re a feature that can be used between two Samsung Galaxy phones, with stickers assigned to contacts when making or receiving calls. Stickers can be sent to reject calls, or you can even send them while you’re on the phone to them.
In the email announcement, Samsung have stated that as of December 17, 2018, you won’t be able to send Call stickers through the Samsung Phone app, including sending stickers during calls and declining calls. (Service availability varies by region and/or operator.)
Apparently Samsung had monetised the feature, selling Call Stickers, and if you have purchased some, then Samsung said you can request compensation for your purchase before June 15, 2019. In order to request compensation you can follow these steps:
- Open Galaxy Apps on your phone.
- Tap More options, then tap Contact us.
- Submit a request for compensation.
Samsung advised that for faster processing, you should include the order number in your request. To find your order number you can go to Galaxy Apps > More options > My Apps > Receipts.
