We love a good smart home deal, and discount supermarket chain Aldi are jumping on that bandwagon next week with deals on Google Home Mini and Philips Hue smart lights.

The catalogue for Aldi’s 13th of October Special Buys promotion is now circulating to customers, though their website hasn’t updated yet. The cataglogue, shared on OzBargain, shows that from Saturday next week you’ll be able to pick up a deal on Google Home Mini’s in a twin pack for $99.99, a massive discount on the normal $79 price tag.

Once you’ve got your Home Mini you’ll want to get in on the smart home lighting, and Philips Hue is a great way to do that. The Philips Hue bundles a Philips Hue starter kit including both a White and Colour Ambiance E27 Bulb and the Bridge, as well as your choice of either a Hue Go (a portable multi-coloured light with rechargeable battery) or Hue Lightstrip for just $249 – a great deal considering the starter kit normally retails for $249 and Hue Go is normally around the $150 mark.

Finally, you’ll be able to get a smart switch from Aldi’s in-house brand Medion. The Smart Switch is compatible with both Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant meaning you can do things like plug a fan or your kettle into the switch and have it turn on with just your voice. The switch will sell for $19.99 which is fairly decent considering the price of the competition.

The deals start next Wednesday October 10thSaturday October 13th, so if you’re interested in any of these deals, head in-store to check them out.
