The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is one of the hottest phones at the moment, especially since it figured at the top of all of the Ausdroid writers’ top phones of 2018 rankings and it is set to get even hotter.

Leaks on Weibo today are suggesting that the Fragrant Red and Comet Blue versions of the Mate 20 Pro will be released around the time of the Chinese New Year. The Comet Blue has yet to be viewed but has been seen in the source code and considering how striking the Fragrant Red colour is we expect the Comet Blue to be equally stunning.

Demand for the Mate 20 Pro is extremely high for Huawei at the moment with them struggling to keep up with demand, especially in China. Releasing the red phone will undoubtedly sell even more in China — you would expect a red version to sell like hot cakes in a country where the colour red is considered lucky.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro still has the best overall camera of any smartphone at the moment and combine that with Huawei’s 7nm Kirin 980 chipset, 40W wireless charging, a heap of RAM and storage and in-display fingerprint sensor you have an amazing phone that is winning a lot of people over to Huawei.

At the stage it is unlikely that the red variant will make it Downunder but if Huawei do decide to bring it here we have no doubt that it would be a winner. Do you like the red colour of this or any other phone?

Fragrant Red for me. Looking forward to this phone although I fear it will be well outside my budget.
