Sony have a decent track record when it comes to updating their phones to the latest Android versions. After already updating the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact last year Sony are set to roll out some Pie to more phones.

On their blog, Sony have today announced that their Android 9.0 Pie for the XZ2 Premium is cooked earlier than expected, just as it was for the XZ2 phones. Owners of Sony XZ2 Premium phones should start seeing the Android Pie update appear on their phones from today.

Continuing with the earlier-than-expected updates Sony have also announced that owners of the XA2, XA2 Ultra and XA2 Plus will start seeing up Android 9.0 start rolling out to their phones from the 4th of March.

If you own either any of the above Sony phones keep an eye out on your phone for the new Android Pie update arriving soon. Let us know when you start to see it.
