Huawei has confirmed that it will be holding the official unveiling of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro in Paris on March 26th. In the lead up to that event, there’s least one Huawei P30 Pro already in the wild in Vietnam – in hands of Huawei CEO Richard Yu no less – and it seems to confirm the previously leaked renders.
Despite the phone being in the typical unobtrusive case to try and disguise the device, with the new quad camera set up, including what we presume in a standard, wide angle, telephoto and a time of flight sensor there’s really is no hiding it. Especially with the telephoto camera having a similar appearance to Oppos 10X zoom it’s really a unique device at this stage.
The images clearly show the 3 cameras in the main camera bump, including the square looking optical telephoto, the flash and suspected time of flight sensor are located off to the side.
The Huawei P20 and Mate 20 lines already had stunning imaging capabilities. If Huawei is introducing a lossless 10X zoom and a time of flight sensor, combined with the AI powers of the Kirin 980, we are expecting something simple mind-blowing from the P30 and P30 Pro.
