Motorola have been slowly updating their recent devices and today they have announced another of their phones is currently receiving an OTA rollout of Android 9.0 Pie.

From today moto g6 owners will start seeing Android 9.0 Pie roll out to their devices replacing the 8.0 Oreo currently onboard. Motorola are promising an improved battery life with the update along with redesigned Quick Settings and a new split screen method.

Motorola are also bringing the new pill navigation method that is growing on most users as well as the new simplified volume controls. The camera will also be improved with the update with a new panorama mode and better low-light imaging. They have also included an “easier way” to manage notifications.

With the moto g6 being updated that brings the total to three – this and the x4 and the g6 plus. Next in line to receive the update will be the moto z3 play, the z2 play and the g6 play.

If you own a moto g6 head into settings and mash that check for updates button and let us know when the update arrive on your device.
