JBL has launched 2 new speakers in Australia this week – a portable unit that’s waterproof, and a serious party speaker that will serve you well for parties big and small.

Charge 4 – $199.95 RRP

Aimed at impromptu parties, held in areas where you may not normally have access to power. It’s small, light, portable and provides heaps of bang for your buck.

The brand new Charge 4 is the ultimate “hard-wear” bluetooth speaker, boasting 20 hours of playtime, full IPX7 waterproof protection and dual passive radiators for a crisp, dynamic sound.

It’s also a handy 7500 mAh powerbank if you need to keep some other devices charged.

Charge 4 works with the JBL Connect+ app, allowing you to connect several speakers at once for a wider coverage area.

PartyBox 300 – $599.95 RRP

The PartyBox is a bigger, more serious party speaker with a bigger, more serious price and a weight to match (it’s 15kg!)

You can connect two to each other (wired or wireless) to really expand the party and when you roll in the built in lighting within the box, you really can bring the party with you.

The PartyBox is packed with JBL’s signature sound, creating an uplifting listening experience, whether it’s a small gathering at home or pop-up gig in a park. Equipped with a USB input, the PartyBox allows anyone to connect their playlist directly via a USB drive so the party won’t miss a beat. Alternatively, you can share around DJ duties and allow your friends to connect via wireless bluetooth.

Like Charge 4, PartyBox 300 can charge other devices from its 10,400 mAh battery. It’s also got microphone/guitar input if you’re looking to use it to boost your live performance.

JBL has a history of creating reliable, solid performing audio gear that’s excellent value, and these latest releases seem likely to fit that history well.

You can order both speakers directly from JBL’s website, or find them in stock at retailers around the country. We’ll aim to check them out soon.
