Popular Android launcher replacement Nova Launcher has been updated to version 6.1, bringing with it a much-sought-after dark mode for Google Discover, numeric dots for notification badges, and an undo bar to restore changes made to your desktop.
That’s about all that’s in the changelog, but let’s take a walk through some of these features.
The most exciting is probably the dark mode for the Google Discover pane; Pixel users have had this option for a little while but now it’s available to everyone else thanks to Nova Launcher. To enable it, you’ll need to install the Nova Companion app (which enables Google Discover in the first place), and then you can set the dark mode option.
Another major change is the inclusion of numeric badges for notification dots; this isn’t a new feature, per se, but it now means Nova Launcher can do this without the need for additional supporter apps. It’s a Prime-only feature for now, though.
Last but not least is the ability to undo destructive changes to your desktop. Accidentally deleted that perfect folder full of your best apps? Undo it, and bring it straight back. Easy!
The update is available now on the Play Store:
