Motorola announces its newest Android One device: Meet the Moto One Vision

Motorola has been dipping their toes into the Android One space for a few years but we haven’t seen those devices in Australia. With the announcement of the latest in the series the Motorola One Vision we’re finally getting our first Motorola Android One device downunder.

Motorola isn’t positioning the One Vision as just another also ran device however, as the name indicates they are pushing this as a camera first device for the mid-range. Around the rear is a 48 MP ‘quad-pixel, camera and a 5MP depth sensor and selfies are covered by the 25 MP front facing camera.

What is a Quad Pixel? It’s where you make 4 pixel 1 pixel of course. The One Vision combines 4 pixels into one 1.6µm pixel, effectively making the sensor a 12MP camera with larger pixels. Why they just don’t use a 12MP sensor with 1.6µm pixels I’m not sure. The camera includes OIS and a new ‘Night mode’ designed to give great images in low light.

Summing up the deice, the One Vision is a 6.3-inch IPS LCD device with FHD+ display, with an indisplay camera cut out similar to the Galaxy S10 range. It’s powered by an Exynos 9609 SOC from Samsung, 4GB of RAM and an amazing 128GB of storage.

Rounding out the specs is a 3500 mAh battery, rear finger print sensor, NFC and the all Important 3.5 mm courage port. Check out the full specs below.
