After a year in the wilderness, the Toys “R” Us returned to Australia recently, run by Australian toy retailer Hobby Warehouse. The company has announced the launch of an eBay store to complement their website.

The new eBay store features more than 4,000 items from the biggest and best known brands including Lego, Mattel, Hasbro and Spin Master. It’s not in the eBay Plus program, but most items do offer free shipping, and there’s a 20% off sale running until July 8.

If you’re in the market for toys, you’ll want to take a look – it’s Toys “R” Us, after all, you’re going to be curious – but you should probably shop around a bit.

While the items in the eBay store have free shipping they’re more expensive than the equivalent item on the Toys “R” Us website, and in many cases those prices are full retail.

That said, there are plenty of genuine good deals on offer, and the 20% discount offer certainly helps bring prices down. To get the discount, use the voucher code “PLUTO” until July 8.

Believe it or not, it’s Christmas shopping season with many parents buying up toys on sale ahead of the silly season. If you’re stocking up or just buying something for yourself, do some research and you might find the best price on offer here.
