Just yesterday we saw renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ appear online showing it from nearly all angles. Today another piece has been added to the puzzle via some photos (rather than renders) of the upcoming Galaxy Note 10+ on the FCC website.

The images have appeared in the testing documents at the FCC as Samsung seeks approval for their new Note flagship set to be announced in a few weeks time. The images show not just the dimensions of the phone but also the rear and sides of the device.

The right hand side of the device is bereft of any buttons at all, instead there are three buttons located on the left hand side. We are assuming that Samsung are moving the power button from the right of the phone to the left, placing it underneath the volume rocker. This is where the Bixby button ‘used’ to be located but without any other power-type button in sight was are assuming the Bixby button is now the power button and the Bixby button which everyone hated is being nixed.

The bottom of the device also confirms that Samsung are also nixing the headphone jack. One of very few manufacturers that still included it it is no surprise to see Samsung finally kill it off as users shift away from wired headsets and Samsung attempt to pack more into the internals of the phone — remember the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor hardware is located down the bottom making it difficult to fit a headphone jack there as well.

Aside from this there is confirmation of a quad rear camera setup with a depth or ToF lens separate from the main camera module. The rest of the rear of the device is just a boring slab.

Once again the S-Pen will charge inside the silo of the phone and supports Bluetooth. The Note 10+ will actually support Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). At this stage there is no 5G support anywhere in sight but we are fairly certain that one will appear at some stage, even with the extremely limited 5G network coverage available for consumers.

IS there anything left for us to learn about the Galaxy Note 10 lineup? You can be sure that this won’t be the last we hear of it before it’s announcement on August 7. Stay tuned if you are interested, otherwise check back in on August 7.

I reckon that is a Bixby button and the power button or other method of powering up/down the device is elsewhere.

With there being no headphone socket, I will never consider it for purchase.

“users shift away from wired headset”… I don’t think this is true. Customers still want it but manufacturers are removing the headset port which forces us to other options. It’s a damn shame.
